January 2019 Art and Wine Event: ALCOHOL INK TILES
Ink as an art medium has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity within the last few years, and for good reason: it is deliciously fluid, wildly experimental, and unstoppably vibrant! In this class, we will allow alcohol ink's unpredictable nature to surprise and delight us while crafting one-of-a-kind ceramic tiles that can be displayed decoratively or used functionally as coasters or trivets. Everyone will leave class with a collection of beautiful tile art pieces, uniquely handcrafted by you. Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

March 2019 Art and Wine Event: ETCHED COPPER
The remarkable thing about copper etching is how distinct and sophisticated even the simplest of designs appear when expressed using this medium and technique. And the best part? Anyone can do it! No experience necessary. We will work from small to medium in scale on real sheets of copper, on pieces you can later customize as jewelry pieces or enjoy as two-dimensional art for art's sake. Disclaimer: you may very well fall in love with metal etching after attending this class. Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

April 2019 Art and Wine Event: PRINTMAKING
The joy of printmaking begins with crafting your very own printing block, essentially a large stamp that you'll design and carve with specialized printmaking tools and methods. Afterwards you'll apply ink and/or paint to your block, and finally discover the fun of printing your design on both paper and cloth! Imagine the possibilities: greeting cards, tote bags, wrapping paper, tablecloths... your printing block will be able to customize so much, in class and later when you get home! Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

August 2019 Art and Wine Event: WOODEN QUILTS
Originally introduced into our visual vernacular in 2001 as "barn quilts" by Donna Sue Groves, wooden quilts are a way to honor our rich heritage of American textile arts in a compelling and attractive way... no sewing machine needed! Although our wooden quilts will be smaller in scale than the original barn quilts (and likely not affixed to the side of a barn), we will still arrange painted wooden shapes in a pleasing pattern within a wooden, hangable framework. Color scheme and pattern are totally up to you. Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

September 2019 Art and Wine Event: ACRYLIC PHOTO TRANSFER PAINTINGS
Transfer painting celebrates the ethereal nature of light-based art, the human signature of pigment-based mark making, and the printer's tradition in one exhilarating fell swoop. Our project begins with a photographic print (a variety will be provided in class) that we will beautifully alter and transfer onto wood or canvas and then top off with expressive overpainting using techniques that anyone can learn. Rookie painters and seasoned pros alike will be thrilled with the outcome! Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

October 2019 Art and Wine Event: CLAY BOWLS
Get ready for some serious art therapy in this class! Almost nothing melts away tension in the soul and body better than claywork. In this class, you will knead, roll, and shape clay at your leisure to create fetching jewelry dishes or handsome spice bowls or any other clay creation that reflects your personal design sense and sensibility. Note: as our projects will not be kiln-fired, it will be necessary to let them dry for approximately 48 hours after you bring them home. Also, a sturdy take-home container is suggested. Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

With a special emphasis on the Polish Haft Kaszubski style, we will learn how to incorporate simple design motifs into a cohesive (and gorgeous) project that we feel excited to wear or share. You will learn a proper method for textile painting so that your apron withstands not only the rigors of this holiday season, but many more to come! Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.

December 2019 Art and Wine Event: THE ART OF PAPER CUTTING
Call it kirigami, wycinanki, scherenschnitte, or cabesa triangulo... the art of papercutting has thrived in many cultures for a very long time! And thankfully so. This satisfying and contemplative activity helps even an anxious mind find its groove again, and you may find that this class was the nicest gift you gave yourself all holiday long. Treat yourself (and a friend!) to an evening of restful and productive playtime that connects you to a legacy of human expression and results in a beautiful, framed artwork you can exhibit with joy. Registration cost includes all art materials and the first glass of wine. Age 21+ only.
